This delicate and slightly vegetal Sencha green tea is enriched with a vibrant combination: the fruity sweetness of apple and the refined acidity of Normandy yuzu. A hint of ginger adds a slight spice, while Calvados from Pays d'Auge infuses a delicate warmth, typical of the Normandy terroir. This harmonious blend offers a balanced sensory experience, both invigorating and subtly indulgent.
Properties & benefits
Rich in antioxidants, Sencha green tea helps strengthen natural defenses and boost concentration. Yuzu and ginger add a tonic touch, known to support digestion and vitality. A refreshing blend that combines well-being and pleasure.
Directions for use
Allow 1 teaspoon (2g) for a 10-12cl cup. Pour 85°C water over the tea leaves and let it steep for 3 minutes. It is possible to make a second infusion.
A bit of history
This recipe was developed in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef David Gallienne, who wanted to offer his customers a tea in the spirit of a Normandy hole and Japan! Hence the choice of ingredients: Apple, Yuzu, Calvados, and a hint of Ginger to enhance the whole. Yuzu is a citrus fruit native to East Asia, mainly cultivated in Japan and Korea, but originally originating from China and Tibet. And there is a unique Yuzu plantation in Normandy.
